Portrait Photography

German photographer Ellen von Unwerth once said, “I like to photograph anyone before they know what their best angles are.” There is something beautiful about capturing a photograph of someone in their true essence, “warts and all” as the saying goes. I love portrait photography. People fascinate me, especially when I can capture them in a moment in time in their element. Some portraits are formal and maybe done in a studio, others are in the world and “in the moment.” Here is a collection of some of my favorite portraits.
